From this morning, May 2, 2017, our campuses will come back to life as you all return from the Easter/End of Semester break. Your return to the university is not exciting for you alone as you reunite with your friends and you are feeling energized for the second semester, your return to the campuses is also exciting for us all (both academic and non-teaching staff). It’s exciting for us because you are the centre-point of all that we do in the university.

Today May 1, 2017 is another opportunity to celebrate the great men and women who continue to toil as they build human societies worldwide. Throughout the world, Africa and across our land in Nigeria, the value and essence of labour is underscored by today’s celebrations. Indeed, in our immediate environment, UNIOSUN, our story is not different from many other workers across the globe. From ground zero, our university was built to this stage through the hard work of you all.
Another vista has been opened in the remarkable administrative style of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Labode Popoola with the election of two Deputy Vice-Chancellors by the Senate of the University.
The 2016/2017 Rain Semester will begin on 2nd May, 2017 when the results of 2016/2017 Harmattan examinations would have been ready. Students are enjoined to resume on 2nd May, 2017 and ensure that they complete registration for their courses on or before 29th May, 2017. Late registration with additional fee of N10,000 begins on Tuesday, 30th May, and ends on Monday, 12th June, 2017. Students are hereby advised to complete registration of their courses within this stipulated period.

Osun State University continued its trajectory to becoming a globally competitive institution and the very best in the country when on Thursday, 2nd of March 2017 it outclassed other participating universities to emerge 1st position at the Inter-University Debate organized by the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), in commemoration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo's 80th Birthday and the Grand Opening of the OOPL. The theme of the debate was "Presidential Libraries will Reduce Leadership Deficit in Africa".
Please, be reminded that the deadline for late registration expires today: Tuesday, 28th February, 2017. The portal will automatically be closed!. Be reminded also that NO UNREGISTERED STUDENTS will be allowed to write the semester exams starting on Monday, 6th March, 2017. Defaulters who cannot meet up with the deadline are advised to apply for leave of absence with sworn affidavits, pledging to pay before resumption from the leave of absence.
