Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) Osogbo Chapter, a division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, during the Investiture of Engr. (Dr.) Abimbola Rhoda Iyanda,MNSE, MAPWEN, as the 2nd chapter Chairman and award presentation on Thursday, 18th August, 2016, at the NSE Secretariat, Osogbo, Osun State, presented special award of excellence to Prof. Oguntola Jelil Alamu, Acting Vice Chancellor, Osun State University, for supporting women progress in engineering technology.
The Merit list of admitted candidates for 2016/2017 Admission into various degree programmes has now been released. Candidates who participated in the 2016 Admission screening exercise can now check their admission status via the University Undergraduates Admission portal.
Notice is hereby given that the results of the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) screening exercise into Osun State Univesity conducted between 5th - 9th August, 2016, have been released. Candidates who participated in the exercise are therefore advised to check their screening results via the Undergraduates portal at http://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng.
The Visitor to Osun State University, Mr. Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola on Monday, 8th August, 2016, inaugurated a new Governing Council of Osun State University (UNIOSUN). In his acceptance speech, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Mallam Yusuf Olaolu Ali described the University as a “Potentially Great University”.

Osun State University emerged the winner of the 1st National Engineering Students’ Competition of the Committee of Deans of Engineering and Technology of Nigerian Universities (CODET) south-west zone held on Tuesday, 14th June, 2016 at University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, to proceed to the national level alongside with other winning Universities from the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria. The grand finale is scheduled to take place in FCT, Abuja.
